Lead Trainer
Shannon Zellmann, a life safety and active shooter trainer at Kingswood Security Consulting, brings over three decades of industry experience to her role as the lead trainer for the company's life safety and active shooter survival courses. Her background in proactive security spans both military and private sectors, including service in the United States Air Force, where she was responsible for guarding various aircraft and weapons systems, firearms, and weapons training, and protecting high-ranking personnel and facilities.
Shannon's diverse expertise covers guard force management, training, customer service, and financial management. She has held key positions such as Director of Campus Safety at Gustavus Adolphus College, Director of Safety and Security at Valleyfair Amusement Park, and Director of Operations for Planned Parenthood.
Skilled in conducting security risk assessments and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Shannon is also a certified Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) instructor and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). As a committed professional, she trains and evaluates Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), and EMT students for their National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) psychomotor exams.
In her role as Assistant Director of Training for Allied Medical Training, Shannon oversees in-person class instruction and manages a team of instructors with diverse backgrounds in emergency services. She ensures students are well-prepared for their NREMT psychomotor exams and clinical rotations.
