Case Study: Conducting a Security Risk Assessment for a National Nonprofit Focused on Addiction

Problem:

A national nonprofit organization focused on addiction faced a challenge in maintaining safety at its seven locations. Their safety protocols and technologies were disjointed and lacked a centralized approach, which left them vulnerable to security risks. They needed a comprehensive security risk assessment to identify vulnerabilities and provide guidance on how to centralize their security systems and processes.

Solution:

With decades of experience in security risk assessments, we were brought in to help the nonprofit conduct a comprehensive security risk assessment. We followed the principles of security risk assessment, including identifying assets, threats, vulnerabilities, and potential consequences, to assess the current state of their security protocols and technologies.

Using our extensive experience and knowledge, we provided guidance on how to centralize their security systems and processes across all seven locations. We recommended centralized security technology and processes that would bring their security culture together and make it easier to train individuals uniformly. Our guidance included adapting one safety plan for each location while still maintaining uniform safety protocols.

Results:

By following our guidance, the national nonprofit was able to increase their security culture, train all individuals uniformly, and use one safety plan that was adapted for each location. This approach made them safer, more secure, and better prepared to handle potential security risks at all their locations.

Conclusion:

Working with Kingswood helped the national nonprofit improve their security protocols and technologies. Our guidance and support helped the nonprofit identify vulnerabilities, centralize their security systems and processes, and implement uniform safety protocols across all seven locations.
